iOS 7– Design Leaked, Release Approaching?

It is predicted that the new Apple iOS (7) will remove many of the iOS design elements and textures that were first introduced in 2007.

Similar to Windows 8, Apple have decided to adopt  the flat look.

Rumours suggest changes in:

The Lock Screen

  • Clock will be solid black – not transparent
  • PIN code numbers will be round and black
  • New gesture controls
  • Home Screen

  • The keyboard will be a flat light grey design
  • Navigation and status bars will be solid colours
  • App icons will be flat and have no shine
  • Grid of app icons - panoramic shots as wallpaper (similar movement to Android when swiping through pages)
  • Apple apps will lose the skeuomorphism -  card table felt for Game Center and stitched edging to Find Friends.
  •

    Apps

    • Notes app redesign
    • No more shredding of Passbook’s used passes
    • Colour-coded system throughout – eg. red for the calendar, green for messages, blue for email
    • Changes to Apple apps - weather, camera, Newsstand, Game Center, and Safari. Stylized elements will be removed and replaced with a simple white text on black/grey backgrounds.
    • Seperate FaceTime app could be introduced
    • The App Store changes
    • Siri redesign

    Notifications

    • Flat background and flat white text in the Notifications area
    • Textures removed from the pull-down panel’s background.
    • Active widgets may be added - streaming news, easy access buttons for Wi-Fi, Airplane mode, and Bluetooth. Exactly the same as Android…
