Review: Panasionic SA-PM 500

The Panasonic SA-PM500, like it's predecessors doesn't fail to deliver.

It features:
- iPod Dock (old connection)
- CD player
- FM/AM Radio
- USB Support
Sadly, this model doesn't have a 3.5mm in-jack, so you won't be able to plug your computer/MP3 player in.

No surprise, the Panasonic speakers deliver crisp sound with the bass that you would expect from a dedicated Sub-Woofer or a large HiFi system.

The remote control included with the player will allow you to change the iPod/USB tracks with the click of a button (as well as all of those other settings).

The speakers are separate, connected using the good-old copper wires. The size of the main unit has been decreased dramatically (thank goodness!) compared to the older (chunkier) versions of the SA-PMs.

The verdict:
The 'interface' of the player may take a little getting used to, but it is worth the features and the high quality sound delivered by the Micro-Hifi system, it also has an attractive price tag of only $250. It may not be the Beats by Dr. Dre, but if you are looking for a quality Stereo that won't cost you a fortune, the SA-PM 500 is a great option!
